Wenchao Zhou has had a varied career in academia and industry. Wenchao began their professional career in 2005 as a Mechanical Engineer at Shenzhen Leadwell Technology CO.,LTD. In 2007, they moved on to become a Research Assistant at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2009, they joined the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Research Assistant, where they worked on inkjet printing technology as a manufacturing tool for various applications. In 2012, they were appointed Research Fellow at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. In 2013, they became Chief Research Engineer at AlpZhi, Inc. In 2014, they joined the University of Arkansas as Assistant Professor, and was later promoted to Associate Professor and awarded the 21st Century Professorship. In 2018, they co-founded AMBOTS, where they currently serve as CTO.
Wenchao Zhou received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2006. Wenchao then went on to earn their Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2009. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2014.
