Stephen Bloch

As a venture capitalist and practicing physician, Dr. Stephen Bloch brings his medical knowledge and investment expertise to the Ambra board of directors. Dr. Bloch is a general partner at Canaan Partners, a funder of high-tech healthcare companies. Before joining Canaan Partners in 2002, he helped start several cutting-edge medical companies, including OmniSonics Medical Technologies, Radiology Management Sciences (RMS), and TeleRad. He also sits on the board of Amicus Therapeutics and is the director of Advanced BioHealing, Cylex, and Liquidia. Dr. Bloch started his career as a radiologist, after receiving his medical degree from the University of Rochester. He also holds a Master of Arts from Harvard University in the history of science and public policy.
