Preti Jain Ph.D.

Preti Jain, PhD, FACMG has a diverse work experience in genetics and genomics. Preti currently serves as a Laboratory Director at Ambry Genetics, where they collaborate with various internal stakeholders to develop testing portfolio strategies and is responsible for results interpretation, variant assessment, and report sign-out for different clinical specialties. Prior to this, they worked as a Laboratory Director at Sema4 and an Associate Laboratory Director at Yale University. Preti has also held positions as an Assistant Professor of Genetics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Clinical Molecular Genetics Fellow at Columbia University. Their earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, where they worked on various projects related to gene regulation, genetic annotation, and Parkinson's disease research.

Preti Jain holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biotechnology from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, which they completed from 2005 to 2009. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Life Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru Vishvavidyalaya.
