Rashmi Shah Mody has extensive work experience in the field of biomedical engineering and clinical laboratory management. Rashmi started their career at UT Southwestern Medical Center as a Graduate Research Assistant in 2003. Rashmi then worked at City of Hope as a Research Associate from 2004 to 2005. Rashmi joined CombiMatrix Diagnostics, now Invitae, in 2005 as a Research Scientist III, where they conducted research and contributed to genomic technologies.

In 2012, Rashmi joined Ascend Genomics, LLC as a Senior Scientist in Genomic Technologies. There, they continued their work in the field of genomics until 2014. Since 2014, they have been associated with Ambry Genetics, where they have held various roles. Rashmi started as a Clinical Validation Coordinator in 2014 and progressed to become a Clinical Validation Manager in 2015.
