Rebecca Mar-Heyming

Rebecca Mar-Heyming, PhD FACMG CGMB has extensive work experience in the field of laboratory genetics. Rebecca began their career at Counsyl, Inc. in 2014 as a Laboratory Director, where they served in this role for five years. In 2019, they transitioned to Ambry Genetics, where they initially held the position of Laboratory Director. Currently, they are serving as the Senior Laboratory Director at Ambry Genetics. Rebecca'sexpertise and knowledge in genetic laboratory operations make their a valuable asset to both companies.

Rebecca Mar-Heyming, PhD FACMG CGMB received their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences at the University of California, Riverside. Rebecca then furthered their education at UCLA, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human Genetics. In addition, they completed the UCLA Intercampus Medical Genetics Training Program, earning ABMGG Certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics.
