Tzutzumatzin Soto has extensive experience in audiovisual archiving and collection management. Currently serving as a member of the programming team at Ambulante AC since March 2018, Tzutzumatzin previously held the position of Head of the Video and Iconographic Collection Department at Cineteca Nacional de México from December 2012 to November 2022, where responsibilities included the management of photographic and videographic collection acquisitions and designing collection handling protocols. Additionally, Tzutzumatzin coordinated the Diagnosis of Collections for the State of Oaxaca at OaxacaCine from August 2015 to September 2016, focusing on actions for the preservation of audiovisual archives. Academic credentials include a postgraduate degree in Management, Preservation, and Dissemination of Photographic Collections from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, a Master's in Communication and Politics from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, and a Bachelor's in Latin American Studies, History, and Political Science from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Documental Ambulante A.C. is a non-profit organization founded in 2005, committed to supporting and promoting documentary film as a tool for social and cultural change. Ambulante brings documentary films and training programs to places where they are rarely available in order to foster a cultural exchange, encourage a participative, informed and critical attitude in our audience, and open new channels of expression in Mexico and abroad.
