Hernani Castro has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Hernani started their career at Westchester Community College as a Data Communications Specialist from 1995 to 1997. Hernani then worked as a Systems Analyst at D'Arcy Masius Benton and Bowles, INC from April 1997 to December 1997, and as a Desktop Support Engineer at ING Baring - Furman Selz, LLC from December 1997 to November 1998. Hernani then joined Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services as a Distributed Computing and Networking Team Lead from November 1998 to March 2002.

After that, Hernani worked as a Systems Analyst at Mercer Delta Consulting, LLC from September 2002 to June 2006, and as a Sales Support Analyst at Bayer HealthCare Diabetes Care from July 2006 to June 2008. Hernani then joined Viterion TeleHealthcare as a Customer Support Representative from June 2008 to October 2010, Senior Associate R&D Engineer from October 2010 to June 2012, R&D Project Engineer from June 2012 to April 2013, and finally, as a Research and Development Program Manager from May 2013 to November 2013.

Hernani then worked at Viterion Corporation as the Director of Quality Assurance from November 2013 to December 2016. Hernani later joined AMC Health, where they held various positions, including Product Owner from February 2017 to December 2017, Information Security and Change Manager from January 2018 to June 2020, Director of Information Security from July 2020 to March 2021, Chief Information Security Officer and Privacy Officer from March 2021 to September 2021, and currently serves as the VP of Quality and Process Improvement and Privacy Officer since September 2021.

Hernani Castro obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Computer Information Systems from Baruch College, where they studied from 1988 to 1994. In addition, they have earned some additional certifications, including a Regulatory Affairs Certification in Medical Devices from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) in June 2015 and a HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP) certification from (ISC)² in May 2016.
