Abrao M. Arabe Neto has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors and roles. Abrao currently holds the position of CEO at Amcham-Brasil since January 2023, where they previously served as the Executive Vice President responsible for public policy strategies and advocacy efforts. Abrao is also a Non Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council since February 2020. Prior to their current roles, Abrao served as the Secretary of Foreign Trade at MDIC from October 2016 to January 2019, and as the Head of Trade Remedies at Federação das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo (FIESP) from July 2009 to February 2012. Abrao also worked as a Foreign Trade Analyst at MDIC and as an International Trade Lawyer at Felsberg e Associados. Abrao's expertise lies in trade negotiations and economic research.

Abrao M. Arabe Neto obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in International Trade Law from USP - Universidade de São Paulo, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. In 2018, they completed an Executive Education program in Leadership and Innovation in Contexts of Change at Harvard Kennedy School. In 2012, they were a Ph.D. Visiting Researcher at Georgetown University Law Center, focusing on International Trade Law. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Trade Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, studying from 2006 to 2008.

Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including the WITA-GWU 2012 Intensive Trade Seminar from George Washington University, the International Trade Update 2011 from Georgetown University Law Center, and an Internship Program at the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2008. Abrao also completed a certification program on União Européia: Aspectos Econômicos e Jurídicos da Integração at IBMEC in 2007 and a Short-Term Internship at Câmara dos Deputados in 2004.
