Jim Thompson

Jim Thompson is an experienced plant manager with a career spanning over three decades in the manufacturing sector. Since June 2019, Jim has served as the Plant Manager at Amcor. Prior to this role, Jim held the position of Plant Manager at Bemis Company, Inc. from March 2010 to June 2019. Jim also worked at Rio Tinto / Alcan as Director of Manufacturing and Plant Manager from March 2005 to March 2010. Earlier in Jim's career, various roles were held at Pechiney Plastic Packaging, including Operations Manager, Production Manager, Operations Planning Manager, and Master Production Scheduler between May 1995 and March 2005. Jim began the career at American National Can as a Scheduler from November 1989 to 1995. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead, earned between 1985 and 1989, and attended Gustavus Adolphus College in 1984-1985.
