Heidi Roux (Buhr)

Heidi Roux (Buhr) has a diverse work experience in financial management and accounting roles. Heidi began their career at Hill+Knowlton Strategies in 1997 as a Specialist Client Account Coordinator/Supervisor. Heidi then worked at TfG (The Facilities Group) as a Management Accountant from 2003 to 2005. Heidi then served as a Group Management Accountant at Morrison Utility Services from 2005 to 2007. Heidi subsequently worked at PERI Group as a Senior Accountant from 2008 to 2010, followed by the role of Group Treasury Accountant from 2010 to 2012. Currently, they are associated with the Amdec Group, where they started as a Financial Manager in 2012 and has progressed to the position of Head of Finance from 2015. In their current role, they are responsible for leading and developing the Group accounts department, implementing systems and procedures, ensuring statutory compliance, and managing financial accounting systems. Heidi is also involved in the annual audit, consolidation of financial statements, and improving departmental efficiency and team structure.

Heidi Roux (Buhr) attended De Kuilen High School from 1980 to 1991. Heidi then enrolled at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika and pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Business Management and Industrial Psychology, which they completed from 1994 to 2002. Following their undergraduate studies, Heidi attended The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants from 2003 to 2006 and obtained the Associate Chartered Management Accountant qualification. Heidi also earned the certification of Chartered Management Accountant from CIMA, although the specific date of attainment is not provided.
