Heather C. Perez

Heather C. Perez has a vast work experience spanning over two decades. Heather C. currently serves as the Director of IT GRC at Amedisys Home Health & Hospice since 2016. Prior to that, in 2015, they worked as a Sr. Systems Analyst at Intucio, a Geocent Company, where they conducted workflow analysis and made recommendations for Lamar Advertising. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Sr. IT Compliance Analyst at Amedisys Home Health & Hospice, where they liaised between the IT department and various business units, auditors, and compliance departments. Before that, they worked as an Internal Controls IT Manager at HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. from 2008 to 2013, where they managed various testing initiatives for PeopleSoft ERP implementation and developed access review and segregation of duties matrices. Heather also served as an Infrastructure Manager at Gainsco from 2005 to 2008, contributing to the growth of the company and successfully implementing ITGC controls. Earlier in their career, they were a Network Supervisor at Affirmative Insurance, where they implemented ITGC controls and led the infrastructure side of a company merger. Heather's early experience includes a role as a Dual Store Manager at Community Coffee from 1996 to 1999, where they supervised staff, managed new store openings, and oversaw P&L responsibilities.

Heather C. Perez obtained their Bachelor's degree in Spanish from Louisiana State University, where they studied from 1992 to 1998. In addition to their degree, they hold multiple certifications including CSF Practitioner from HiTRUST in 2014, CRMA - Certification in Risk Management Assurance from the IIA - Institute of Internal Auditors in 2013, and CISA - Certified Information System Auditor from ISACA - Information Systems Audit and Control Association in 2012.
