Evgeny Protopopov

Evgeny Protopopov is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in the fintech and IT sectors. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at AMEGA Group since February 2023, Protopopov oversees the strategic direction of fintech products and manages an engineering team to ensure the reliability of the MT5 trading platform and related systems. Previously, Protopopov held similar roles at Tixee, focusing on client experience in trading technologies, and at Exness as Head of IT Infrastructure, where responsibility included 24/7 IT operations and management of a hybrid environment. Protopopov's career at Japan Tobacco International spanned over a decade, during which Evgeny directed data center operations and architecture for multiple regions, yielding significant cost savings through innovative infrastructure strategies. Protopopov began their career as an IT Manager at Digital Design after earning a Master of Science in Automatic Control Systems and Industrial Robots from Baltic State Technical University.
