Shady El Tohfa

Shady El Tohfa has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Shady is currently the Co-Founder & CEO of Amenli since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Paymob from April 2015 to December 2020, first as the Chief Commercial Officer and then as the Business Development Director.

Before joining Paymob, Shady was a Member of the Experts-in-Residence Program at the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership Program | AUC from February 2014 to April 2015. Shady also gained experience as a Business Development Intern at Flat6Labs in November to December 2014, where they developed partnerships for their Local Perks Program and assisted the CEO in assessing potential corporate partnerships.

Shady served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Skydeck | Berkeley in July to August 2014. Shady co-founded and served as President of the AUC Business Association from April 2013 to May 2014. Additionally, they interned as a Supply Chain Management Intern at Nestle S.A. from July to October 2013.

In their earlier career, Shady was a Moderator at the Entrepreneurs' Society AUC from September 2012 to June 2013. Shady also had an internship at HSBC in July 2012 and was an Outgoing Exchange Member at AIESEC from February to September 2011.

Shady El Tohfa pursued their education at The American University in Cairo from 2010 to 2015. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a major in Business Administration.
