Madelayne Cordero

Madalayne Cordero, Esq., TEP, serves as the Chair and Vice Chair of STEP MIAMI since October 2021 and holds the position of Chief Fiduciary Officer- Head of Trust at Amerant Bank as a Senior Vice President since October 2022. Cordero's previous experience includes roles as Chief Fiduciary Officer at City National Bank of Florida from 2017 to September 2022, Senior Vice President and Chief Fiduciary Officer at Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust from 2015 to 2017, and Trust Manager at Amicorp Group from 2011 to 2015. Earlier in the career, Cordero served as Vice President and Senior Trust Officer at Wells Fargo (2004-2011) and Senior Trust Administrator at Northern Trust Wealth Management (2000-2004). Educational achievements include multiple executive education programs at prestigious institutions such as Stanford University, Yale School of Management, Columbia Business School, Duke University, and The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, along with a Bachelor of Business Studies in International Business from Florida International University and a Juris Doctor from Purdue University.
