Byron Workman

Byron Workman possesses extensive experience in law enforcement and corporate security, currently serving as a Corporate Security Investigator at Ameren since August 2022. Prior to this role, Byron was the Fusion Center Director for the Illinois State Police, overseeing the Illinois Statewide Terrorism and Intelligence Center from August 2019 to August 2022. Byron's earlier career with the Illinois State Police spanned over two decades, during which positions included Unit Supervisor of the Intelligence Support and Digital Crimes Units, Special Agent in the Technical Investigations Unit, Special Agent in the Metro-East Homicide and Child Exploitation Units, and State Trooper. Byron holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a focus on Criminal Justice and Speech Communication from McKendree University.
