Michael Kaplan

Michael Kaplan, PMP, ITIL, serves as a Senior Cybersecurity Program Manager at Ameren since April 2022, focusing on the enterprise-wide implementation of NIST CSF 2.0. Previously, as the Founder and Strategic Consultant at MAK CON LLC from 2015 to 2021, Kaplan drove significant cybersecurity and IT modernization initiatives, achieving a 90% reduction in security incidents and over $2 million in operational cost savings. At SoftPMO from 2010 to 2014, Kaplan developed a PMBOK-aligned project management toolkit and led IT Shared Services engagements, enhancing resource allocation and project delivery. Kaplan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida.
