Mark Himmel

Mark Himmel has a diverse work experience spanning from 2004 to the present. Mark currently holds the position of Director of Project Development (Sales & Marketing) at Ameresco, where they are responsible for developing unique energy savings solutions and coordinating projects from start to finish. Prior to Ameresco, Mark worked at Plug Smart as the Director of Project Development (Sales & Marketing) and then as the Project Development Manager (Sales), where they developed energy savings solutions for various market segments and managed the company CRM. Before Plug Smart, Mark served as a Business Development Strategist at PowerSage and held multiple roles at Nationwide Energy Partners, including Common Area Usage Manager, Metering Systems Supervisor, and Metering Systems Analyst. In these roles, they focused on process development, documentation, and troubleshooting metering systems. Mark also has experience in freelance electrical work as a Technical Services Specialist.

Mark Himmel earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Columbus State Community College from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they studied Audio Recording Engineering at Capital University from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, Mark has pursued studies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at The Ohio State University. In 2018, they obtained certification as a Certified Energy Manager from the Association of Energy Engineers.
