Vivek Hegde

Vivek Hegde has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and project management. Vivek is currently working as the Vice President at Ameresco, where they oversee energy installation projects and manages a portfolio worth nearly a billion dollars. Vivek has been with Ameresco since 2000, starting as a Senior Project Manager and gradually progressing to roles such as Team Leader and Director. Vivek also possesses expertise in ESPC and Capital Projects for various sectors including education, healthcare, commercial, and government facilities.

Prior to joining Ameresco, Vivek served as a Project Manager at NORESCO from 1995 to 2000. Vivek also worked as an Energy Engineer at Warner Technologies, Inc. from 1993 to 1995, and as a Materials Engineer at Alkyl Amines Chemicals, LTD from 1989 to 1990. Vivek began their career at Bayer India as a Mechanical Engineer from 1988 to 1989. Overall, Vivek Hegde has more than 33 years of experience in research, energy auditing, engineering, construction, project management, and group managerial roles.

Vivek Hegde, C.E.M holds a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechanical/Energy Conservation from South Dakota State University, which they attended from 1990 to 1992. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at SDM College of Engineering & Technology, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering between 1984 and 1988. Vivek received their high school and pre-university education at SMS Junior College in Brahmavar, Karnataka, India from 1979 to 1984. Vivek Hegde started their education journey at VMHP School in Harady, Karnataka, India, where they completed their elementary schooling from 1971 to 1978.
