Ben Pitts

Ben Pitts has over 30 years of experience in the coffee industry, with a focus on sales, marketing, and leadership roles. Ben started their career at Royal Cup Coffee in 1988 as a District Manager. Ben later became the Division Manager and Regional Manager before being promoted to Vice President of FoodService & Hospitality in 1998. In 2007, they were appointed as the President of FoodService & Hospitality at Royal Cup Coffee, where they served until 2018. During their tenure, they played a vital role in the launch of the luxury coffee brand H.C. In 2015, they became involved with the Specialty Coffee Association and held various leadership positions, including Board President and Board Director - Vice President. In 2017, Ben Pitts joined the Specialty Coffee Association as their Past President. Ben currently serves as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Amerex Fire, where they are responsible for manufacturing high-quality fire suppression products.

Ben Pitts attended Presbyterian College from 1977 to 1981, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Prior to attending college, they completed their high school education at Clinton High School in Clinton, SC. In addition to their formal education, Ben has obtained several certifications in the field of coffee, including Best of Panama 2006 from Cup of Excellence, China Coffee Mission 2013 from the Specialty Coffee Association of America, Espresso Italiano Taster (Assaggiatore) from the Italian Coffee Institute, and Golden Cup from the Specialty Coffee Association of America.
