Yuri Morales has a diverse work experience in the field of soccer and sports-based youth development. Yuri started their career as a Professional Beach Soccer Player with the United States Soccer Federation from 2005 to 2014. Later, they founded and directed the Santa Cruz Beach Soccer Club from 2008 to 2013 and the San Francisco Beach Soccer Club from 2012 to 2015. Yuri also worked as a Coaching Instructor for the California Youth Soccer Association - Cal North from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, they served as the Chief Program Officer for America SCORES Bay Area, overseeing sports-based youth development and literacy programs in multiple Bay Area regions. Yuri has also held marketing and sponsorship roles with BRC GROUP - Alianza de Futbol, San Jose Earthquakes Soccer, and adidas. Furthermore, Yuri founded and organized the Footvolley Bay Area events to promote the sport of footvolley, combining soccer and beach volleyball. Yuri has extensive experience in program management, community partnerships, coaching, and event planning.

Yuri Morales earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Cultural Studies of Sport in Education from the University of California, Berkeley from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, Yuri Morales obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Yuri obtained several certifications, including a FIFA Beach Soccer Coaching Certificate from the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in December 2011, a USSF National 'C' Coaching License from the United States Soccer Federation in April 2010, and a CYSA 'F' Coaching License from the California Youth Soccer Association in June 2009.
