Michelle Pizarro has a diverse work experience. Michelle started their career at Enterprise Rent a Car as a Management Assistant, where they maintained corporate accounts and supervised inventory. Michelle then transitioned to a role as a Staff Assistant at USF-Sociology, where they facilitated recruitment, provided purchasing support, and coordinated office repairs. Michelle then worked as a Student Trainee at James A. Haley VAMC, rotating through various administration areas and assisting with scheduling and report monitoring. Michelle continued their career as a Postgraduate Fellow at the American College of Healthcare Executives, where they worked on projects and managed the hiring and coordination of Student Associates. Michelle also worked at PerfectServe Inc. as an Operations & Utilization Architect and a Hospital Implementation Consultant, responsible for project management, resource allocation, and budgeting. Prior to their current role as Director of Executive Projects & Operations at the American Academy of Dermatology, they also worked as a Senior Manager, overseeing health IT issues and advocating for telemedicine and HIT legislation. Before that, they were a Project Manager Operations - Quality & Performance at Northwestern Medicine. Throughout their career, Michelle has demonstrated expertise in operations, project management, and coordination.

Michelle Pizarro's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at the University of South Florida. Michelle completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Humanities and Religious Studies in 2007. Michelle then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree in Health Policy & Management from the University of South Florida between 2009 and 2011.

In recent years, Michelle has engaged in executive education. In 2022, they attended Kellogg Executive Education where they completed various certification programs including "Nonprofit Finance: Toolkit for Leaders" (obtained in April 2022), "Nonprofit Strategy: Planning & Positioning for the Future" (obtained in May 2022), and "Strategic Leadership: Leading The Self" (obtained in September 2022).

Continuing their educational endeavors, Michelle pursued a Certificate of Professional Achievement in Nonprofit Management at Kellogg Executive Education in 2022 and 2023. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including "Nonprofit Data Analytics and Impact" (obtained in February 2023), "Kellogg Executive Scholar Certificate" (obtained in March 2023), and "Driving Organizational Change" (obtained in March 2023).
