Rhys Saunders

Rhys Saunders is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in public relations and media relations within healthcare and legal sectors. Currently serving as Public Relations Manager at the American Academy of Dermatology since June 2022, Rhys manages national media relations and develops strategies to enhance public understanding of dermatological issues. Previous roles include Communications Manager for the American Medical Association and Senior Manager of Communications at the Illinois State Bar Association, where Rhys led communications strategies and media outreach. Rhys began a career as a reporter/writer at The State Journal-Register and The Daily Times, fostering a strong foundation in journalism. Rhys holds a Bachelor's degree in English Writing from Illinois Wesleyan University and has completed study abroad at Swansea University.
