Mark Beaty is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon serving as the Director of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery since October 2020. As CEO and Chief Medical Officer of Beaty Facial Plastic Surgery since July 1999, Mark Beaty has established a leading practice in the field. Previously, Mark Beaty held the position of Chief of Staff at Wellstar Windy Hill Hospital from July 2008 to June 2011, overseeing the medical staff. Mark Beaty completed residency training in Otolaryngology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from January 1993 to January 1998, following an MD from the University of Kentucky earned between January 1989 and January 1993, and a BA in Political Science and Government from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from January 1978 to January 1983. Mark Beaty is also a frequent speaker at events in the US and internationally.

American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is the largest organization in the world representing medical residents, fellows, and board-certified facial and reconstructive surgeons who specialize in the plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, and neck. The majority of AAFPRS members and fellows are certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which includes examination in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery procedures, and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
