Darcie Reeson

Director, Content Strategy at American Academy of Family Physicians

Darcie Reeson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Darcie started their career at Special Olympics Kansas in 1997 as the Director of Public Relations, where they coordinated PR activities and acted as a media spokesperson. In 2000, they joined Sprint as a Media/PR Manager, focusing on developing PR strategies and managing cause marketing efforts. From 2004 to 2006, Darcie worked at Sunflower House as a Public Relations Manager, where they developed PR strategies to protect children from abuse and increase community support. Darcie then joined the Children's Hospital Association, initially as a Manager of Communications and later transitioning to a Manager of Content Strategy. During their time there, they collaborated with program leaders and executives to create communication strategies and developed new content strategy workflows and tools. Since 2019, Darcie has been working as the Director of Content Strategy at the American Academy of Family Physicians, overseeing content governance, management, and performance assessment, and collaborating with other teams to enhance member experience.

Darcie Reeson attended Kansas State University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Public Relations. In April 2020, they obtained a certification in Content Marketing from Content Marketing Institute's Content Marketing University.
