Patricia Scalzo is an experienced healthcare professional with a focus on diabetes care and education. Currently serving as an Education Specialist at the American Association of Nurse Practitioners since January 2022, Patricia has previously worked as a Nurse Practitioner for Inovalon, conducting in-home health assessments. From May 2020 to June 2021, Patricia held the role of Director of Diabetes Technology Initiatives at the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists, following a contracted writing position. Prior experience includes serving as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist at Cecelia Health and as a Nurse Practitioner in Endocrinology at Allegheny Health Network and Goltz and Associates. Patricia began a career at the Mayo Clinic, contributing to diabetes technology and hospital diabetes management from 2008 to June 2014. Patricia holds a Master of Science in Nursing from George Mason University.
