Sharon Lassar, Ph.D., CPA, serves as the Director of the School of Accountancy at the University of Denver since September 2010, overseeing the Accountancy programs. In addition to this role, Lassar has actively contributed to the American Accounting Association as Past President of the Accounting Programs Leadership Group, where efforts led to the initiation of a merger with the Federation of Schools of Accountancy. Significant involvement in various professional organizations includes serving on the Business Advisory Board at the Community College of Aurora, chairing the Board of Directors for the Colorado Society of CPAs, and participating in the Accounting Accreditation Task Force for AACSB International. Lassar's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Business from the University of Southern California, an MST in Taxation from Bentley University, and a BSBA in Accounting from West Virginia University.
