Devon May

Devon May is Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he oversees all global corporate risk, corporate development and corporate financial functions, including treasury, accounting, financial planning, labor and fleet analysis, tax, strategic planning, investor relations and purchasing.

Devon has held several leadership roles at American since the merger with US Airways in 2013. Most recently, Devon was Senior Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations, overseeing corporate development, financial functions and investor relations. He has also led American’s regional operations as well as its network planning and alliances activity. Prior to that, he was responsible for American’s capital and operating budgets, long-range financial planning, flight profitability and financial analysis, along with division finance, purchasing and insurance.

Prior to American Airlines, Devon held the role of Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at US Airways. His responsibilities included managing financial planning, fleet planning, labor analysis and flight profitability. He formerly held Director or Managing Director roles in Alliances, Network Planning, Financial Planning and Financial Analysis.

Devon earned a Master of Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, and a Bachelor of Management in finance from the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada.
