Benjamin Gabriel

Benjamin Gabriel has extensive experience in executive leadership roles within various organizations. Benjamin currently serves as the Executive Director of the American Alpine Club since April 2023. Prior to this, they held the same position at Wild Montana from December 2017 to April 2023. From December 2014 to November 2017, they were the Executive Director of Friends of Organ Mountains Desert Peaks.

Benjamin also has experience in the field of outdoor recreation. Benjamin worked at New Mexico State University from August 2004 to December 2014, where they held the role of Assistant Director, Outdoor Recreation. Benjamin was responsible for managing various aspects of the university's Outdoor Recreation Program.

Before joining New Mexico State University, Benjamin worked as a Trip Leader at Wildwater Ltd from April 2002 to September 2004.

Benjamin Gabriel pursued their higher education at two different institutions. From 1997 to 2004, they attended Ohio University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Adventure Recreation. Later, in 2009 to 2010, they enrolled at New Mexico State University to complete their Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration.
