Ben Williams is an experienced editor and entrepreneur with a diverse background in journalism and translation. Currently serving as the editor of Trends magazine for the American Animal Hospital Association since 2008, Ben has also contributed as an associate editor by transitioning the bi-weekly newsletter, NEWStat, to a weekly publication. In addition to editorial roles, Ben founded Casco Bay Studios, LLC, specializing in creating and selling electronic toys and gadgets. Freelance work as a Chinese language translator has been ongoing since 2001, emphasizing educational and business materials. Past journalism experience includes reporting for Landmark Community Newspapers and editing for Williston Observer and Burlington Free Press. Ben holds an MS in Journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and has a background in education as an English teacher at the Beijing Institute of Tourism.

American Animal Hospital Association
The American Animal Hospital Association is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals throughout the United States and Canada. AAHA-accredited veterinary hospitals are champions for excellent pet health care. They voluntarily choose to be evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary care. Currently, over 3,600 small animal veterinary hospitals are accredited by AAHA. Consultants regularly visit these hospitals to ensure compliance with AAHA’s standards for services and facilities.
