Erin Spaw, CMP, currently serves as the Senior Manager of Meeting and Events at the American Animal Hospital Association, a position held since August 2023. Previously, Erin has held various roles with ACEC Colorado, including Programs & Sponsorship Director and Communication & Engagement Sr. Manager from December 2021 to July 2023. Erin's early career at the American Animal Hospital Association spanned from January 2018 to November 2021, where responsibilities included Senior Manager and Meetings Manager for Meetings and Events. Additional experience includes roles at Kinsley Meetings and Up With People, where Erin focused on event management and sponsor relations, and a position as Public Relations Intern at the Metro Denver Sports Commission. Erin holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing and Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from Kansas State University, supplemented by studies at Florence University of the Arts.

American Animal Hospital Association

The American Animal Hospital Association is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals throughout the United States and Canada. AAHA-accredited veterinary hospitals are champions for excellent pet health care. They voluntarily choose to be evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary care. Currently, over 3,600 small animal veterinary hospitals are accredited by AAHA. Consultants regularly visit these hospitals to ensure compliance with AAHA’s standards for services and facilities.
