Mike Carson

Mike Carson is an experienced professional in ceramic process and materials engineering, currently serving as the Director of Technical Services at American Art Clay Company since August 2018. Prior experience includes a role as Principal Engineer at Kohler Co. from January 2007 to August 2018, where Mike was a content expert in the development of vitreous products and coatings, leading engineering representatives across multiple plants in the U.S. and Mexico. Earlier experience includes working as a Ceramic Technologist at MacKenzie Childs Ltd, focusing on formulating glazes and clay bodies for dinnerware and furniture, and as a contractor at Corning Incorporated for ware flow tracking. Mike holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramic Arts and Ceramics from the University of Delaware, and an Associate of Science in Math and Science from Tompkins Cortland Community College.
