Dean A. Post

Senior Director, Scientific Programs at American Association For Cancer Research

Dean A. Post has had an extensive work experience in both the non-profit and energy sectors. Starting in 1991, they worked at the New Jersey Citizen Action Oil Group where they held the positions of Office Manager and Assistant Director. In 1999, they joined The Energy Cooperative as Customer Service & Heating Oil Manager.

In 2001, Dean started working at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). Dean A. began as a Meetings & Exhibits Associate and steadily climbed the ranks, holding roles such as Program Coordinator, Senior Program Coordinator, Program Administrator, Senior Program Administrator, Assistant Director of Program Development, and Associate Director of Program Development. From 2011 to 2016, Dean was responsible for securing funding and managing a portfolio of 30-40 scientific meetings and workshops each year as the Associate Director of Program Development.

In 2017, Dean became the Director of Scientific Programs at AACR, reporting directly to the CEO. In this role, they led efforts to produce diverse and scientifically relevant programs that serve researchers in the field of cancer research. Most recently, in January 2022, Dean took on the position of Senior Director of Scientific Programs, continuing their work in overseeing the development, management, and evaluation of AACR's meetings and conferences for external stakeholders.

Dean A. Post obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Business Administration from Gloucester County College in 1991. Following this, they attended Rowan University from 1991 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marketing. Additionally, Dean has pursued studies in Project Management at Rutgers University, although specific dates and degree information for this period are not provided.
