Frédéric Biemar is a seasoned professional in the field of biochemistry and international affairs, currently serving as the Director of International Affairs at the American Association for Cancer Research since October 2011. In this role, Frédéric built the department from inception and collaborated with the CEO to establish its vision and objectives. Previously, Frédéric held positions as Acting Director for the SU2C Grants Program, where management of a multimillion-dollar grants portfolio and activation of new funding opportunities were key responsibilities. Frédéric's academic career includes roles as Associate Director and Senior Program Administrator at Temple University, where research leadership focused on genetic regulation and microRNA functionality, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Berkeley under the mentorship of Dr. Michael S. Educational qualifications include a D.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Liège.
