Laura Scolaro, Ph.D, has a diverse work experience spanning various scientific and research roles. Laura is currently working as the Assistant Director of Scientific Programs in the Executive Office of the American Association for Cancer Research. Prior to this, they worked at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation as a Senior Scientist and Lab Manager, where they led drug development projects and managed preclinical trials in neuroblastoma and pediatric glioblastoma cell lines.

Before that, Laura worked as Scientist/Lab Manager at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where they supervised and managed multiple preclinical trials of experimental drugs, analyzed data from high-throughput drug screening assays, and planned in vitro and in vivo experiments.

Laura Scolaro, Ph.D (She/Her) pursued their education in the field of Biomedical Biotechnologies and Molecular Medicine at the Università degli Studi di Palermo. Laura obtained their Bachelor's degree from the same university in 2004. Continuing their academic journey, Laura completed their Master's degree in Biomedical Biotechnologies and Molecular Medicine from the Università degli Studi di Palermo between 2004 and 2006. Laura further expanded their knowledge and expertise by pursuing a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Oncopathology at the Università degli Studi di Palermo from 2007 to 2010.

Additionally, Laura holds a certification in Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials from John Hopkins University, which they received in November 2020.
