Srivani Ravoori, PhD

Srivani Ravoori, PhD has a diverse work experience primarily focused on science communications and research. Srivani began their career in 1995 as a Technologist and Scientific Assistant at the Cancer Institute. From 2001 to 2003, they served as a Post-Doctoral Research Scholar at the University of Kentucky in the Department of Preventive Medicine. Srivani then joined the University of Louisville and held the positions of Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the JG Brown Cancer Center from 2003 to 2006, and Instructor at the same center from 2006 to 2011. In 2011, Srivani worked as a Freelance Science Writer before joining the American Association for Cancer Research in 2013. Srivani held several roles at the organization, including Senior Science Writer from 2013 to 2016, Associate Director of Science Communications from 2016 to 2021, and currently serves as the Director of Science Communications.

Srivani Ravoori, PhD, completed their education in the field of Cancer Biology at the Cancer Institute in India. From 1996 to 2001, they pursued their PhD in Cancer Biology at the institute.
