Mark Golden

Mark Golden has extensive work experience in executive leadership roles in various organizations. Mark currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry. Prior to this, they were the Executive Director and CEO of the National Society of Professional Engineers, where they successfully restored working relationships and fostered collaboration between the national organization and its chapters. Mark also served as the Executive Director and CEO of the National Court Reporters Association and the Senior Vice President of the Personal Communications Industry Association. Mark Golden's earlier roles include positions at the Association of Telemessaging Services International and A Presidential Classroom for Young Americans. Mark also gained experience in the theater industry at Wayside Theatre, where they held various performance, management, and publicity roles.

Mark Golden attended the University of Virginia from 1974 to 1978 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English and Theatre. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021, Duolingo German Fluency: Elementary (Estimated) from Duolingo in May 2016, and Certified Association Executive from the American Society of Association Executives in June 1993. Mark also holds a Certificate in Association Management from the University of Maryland College of Business & Management/American Society of Association Executives, earned in 1991.
