Lee Vermeulen has an extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Lee currently holds the position of Executive Vice President and CEO at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) as well as Chief Efficiency Officer at UK HealthCare. Prior to this, they served as Chief Efficiency Officer and Director of the Office for Value and Innovation in Healthcare Delivery (OVIHD) at UK HealthCare. Lee also has experience as the Chief of Enterprise Academic Service Lines and Professor of Medicine and Pharmacy at the University of Kentucky. Lee Vermeulen, BSPharm, MS, FCCP, FFIP has a comprehensive education history in pharmacy. In 1985, Vermeulen obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmacy from the University at Buffalo. Following this, from 1990 to 1991, Vermeulen pursued a general residency in Hospital Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In the subsequent years of 1990 to 1992, Vermeulen completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Pharmacy Administration from the same institution. Simultaneously, Vermeulen also undertook a specialized residency in Hospital Pharmacy Administration at UW Hospital and Clinics, Department of Pharmacy from 1991 to 1992. Additionally, Vermeulen achieved a Research Fellowship in Technology Assessment at the University Healthsystem Consortium, which is now known as Vizient, during the academic year of 1992-1993.
