Kristian Farner

Kristian Farner has a diverse work experience in the field of business intelligence and data analysis. Kristian started their career at the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services in 2016, where they served as a Data Analyst. In this role, they were responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting statistical and programmatic data, as well as evaluating program effectiveness. Kristian also led projects related to qualitative and quantitative analysis in the Behavioral Health Services.

In 2019, Kristian joined Ericsson as a Business Intelligence Developer. During their time there, they worked closely with customers and end-users to develop reports and dashboards that provided them with relevant data for decision-making. Kristian played a key role in transitioning the legacy solution delivery from SAP Business Objects Webi to Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or Alteryx, depending on the specific use case. Additionally, they led the implementation of a seamless transition across the Tableau/SQL reporting catalog by conducting a major data foundation switch.

Currently, Kristian is employed at AAIS (American Association of Insurance Services) as a Business Intelligence Developer, starting in February 2021. No end date is provided for this role.

Kristian Farner attended The University of Kansas from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Technology and Accounting from The University of Kansas School of Business. In 2014, they also participated in a study abroad program at CIMBA focusing on Business. In 2018, Kristian attended The University of Kansas once again, this time for a Data Analytics Bootcamp. Additionally, in May 2015, they obtained a certification in Oracle SQL Fundamentals I from Oracle.
