Kathryn Ko

Kathryn Ko is an accomplished neurosurgeon with a robust career spanning over three decades, currently practicing in New York City since May 1991. Holding the position of Chief at MetroNeurosurgery since March 2003, Kathryn also engages in artistic endeavors as an Artist/Writer for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and as the Creator of "Neurosurgery Le Freak," producing innovative video content that intertwines medicine, art, science, and humor. In addition, Kathryn serves as the Senior Curator for Studio AMWA, an online gallery showcasing artwork by women in medicine, and has been an Artist in Residence at The Living Museum since November 2012, where multimedia art is created with artists from Creedmore Psychiatric Center. Kathryn holds an MD from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine and has advanced degrees in fine art, emphasizing a unique integration of medicine and art throughout an illustrious career.
