Randy Bumpers II has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and positions. Randy started their career as a Student Researcher and JagPAL (Peer Assistant Leader) at the University of South Alabama from 2015 to 2018. Randy then worked as an Intern at Southern Company from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, Randy co-founded The GAP Project, where they served as a Co-Founder. Randy later joined the Innovation in Learning Center as a Graduate Assistant - Instructional Design from 2019 to 2020. In 2020, Randy worked as a Loaned Executive at United Way of Southwest Alabama and as an Assistant Director, Student Success and Learning Experience Design at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), where they currently hold a position. Randy also worked as a Learning Experience Designer (LXD) at AASCU from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, Randy worked as an Instructional Designer at Sova from 2021 to 2022.
Randy Bumpers II completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Educational/Instructional Technology at the University of South Alabama from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the same university between 2014 and 2018. In terms of additional certifications, Randy acquired several qualifications. In 2019, they completed the "National Institute of Urban School Leaders" program at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Randy also achieved the "Independent Applying the QM Rubric (APPQMR)" certification from QM Quality Matters in the same year. In 2018, Randy obtained certifications for "Data Science and Analytics Career Paths and Certifications: First Steps" and "Data Visualization: Storytelling" from LinkedIn. Additionally, they completed the "Adobe Captivate Essential Training" course from LinkedIn in 2020.
