Daniel Wanke is an experienced policy and regulatory affairs professional with a strong background in transportation and freight policy. Currently serving as Program Manager for Freight at the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials since February 2023, Daniel Wanke is involved in legislative, regulatory, and technical matters affecting freight policy and acts as a staff liaison for multiple AASHTO councils. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Policy at the American Trucking Associations, where collaboration with regulatory and legislative affairs teams focused on international trade and cross-border trucking operations. Daniel Wanke also held various roles at The Surety & Fidelity Association of America, providing comprehensive analysis and reporting on relevant legislation and regulations. Daniel Wanke earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and French from Purdue University.
