Eduardo Nunes

Eduardo Nunes currently serves as the Vice President of Accreditation, Regulatory Affairs, and Standards at the American Association of Tissue Banks since May 2024. Previously, Nunes held multiple senior roles at AABB from March 1999 to October 2021, including Vice President of Science and Practice, where responsibilities included redesigning key programs and leading efforts during the COVID pandemic. Nunes also served as Interim Vice President for Transfusion Medicine, focusing on standards and accreditation, and as Senior Director of Standards, Advocacy, and Patient Blood Management, overseeing initiatives that increased organizational revenue. Earlier roles included Director of Standards and International Affairs and Standards Specialist. Nunes holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University with a focus on health and a Bachelor of Arts in English from The College of Wooster.
