Kathryn Besong

Kathryn Besong is a dedicated physical therapist currently working at American Ballet Theatre since September 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a health coach at Base NJ from August 2018 to November 2022, and as an athletic trainer at both Professional Physical Therapy (August 2016 - July 2018) and Nationwide Children's Hospital (May 2015 - May 2016), where responsibilities included functional rehabilitation and outreach for young athletes. Kathryn has also worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Indiana University Bloomington, overseeing the ballet theater in the Jacobs School of Music while providing first-aid coverage at various sporting events. An athletic training intern at Cincinnati Ballet in late 2012, Kathryn holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Hunter College (2023), a Master of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University Bloomington (2015), and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Wilmington College (2013).
