Elva Coffey-Sears has a wealth of experience in the financial industry, starting as an Associate National Bank Examiner at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in 1992. Elva then moved on to become a Senior Vice President at BMO Financial Group/Harris Bank in 1993, where they stayed until 2004. In 2008, Elva joined American Bank Systems, Inc. as Vice President.

Elva Coffey-Sears attended Loyola University Chicago from 1975 to 1981, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a focus in Economics. Elva also briefly studied at The Ohio State University in 1981.
