Wanja Thuku

Wanja Thuku, MPA, currently serves as a Program Officer for External Partnerships at the American Board of Internal Medicine, a role assumed in August 2024. Prior to this position, Wanja held various significant roles, including Philanthropy Manager and Engagement Manager for Partnership Cultivation at Benefits Data Trust from February 2021 to August 2024, and Data Analyst at Wilmington Community Advisory Council from February 2020 to February 2021. Additionally, Wanja worked as a Management Analyst II for the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services during the same period. A brief tenure as Deputy Field Director for Brett Burman’s PA Senate campaign in 2020 involved team building and strategy development for grassroots outreach. Wanja's earlier experiences include serving as a Legislative Fellow for the State of Delaware and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Delaware. Wanja holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Delaware State University.
