Richard M. Rosenfeld, MD, MPH, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations. Richard M. is currently the Director of Guidelines and Quality at the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, where they also serve as a Diplomate. Richard M. chairs the Expert Consensus Statement on Diet for Remission of Type 2 Diabetes and acts as an advisor to the ACLM SUNY Downstate Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group.

Dr. Rosenfeld is the Chief Medical Officer and a Board Member at the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. Richard M. is also a Distinguished Professor with Tenure at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where they held multiple roles including Chairman and Program Director of the Department of Otolaryngology. Additionally, they served as the President of the Medical and Dental Staff and Treasurer of the University Physicians of Brooklyn Practice Plan.

At the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, Dr. Rosenfeld is involved in several faculty advisor roles, including the ENT Otolaryngology Interest Club, Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group, and the Initiative on Nutrition Empowerment (DINE). Richard M. also founded and chaired the Committee on Plant-based Health and Nutrition.

Dr. Rosenfeld has held significant positions at the American Academy of Otolaryngology, including Senior Advisor for Guidelines and Quality and Editor-in-Chief of the Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery Journal. Richard M. was also the Chairman of the Board of Directors at The Auditory Oral School of New York and the CEO of University Physicians of Brooklyn ENT.

Richard M. has contributed to the State University of New York System as the Vice Chair of the Distinguished Academy Executive Committee. Dr. Rosenfeld also serves as the President and Founder of the International Society for Otitis Media and was the Chair and Founder of the North American Community within the Guidelines International Network.

Throughout their career, Dr. Rosenfeld has demonstrated expertise in various areas, including guideline development, program management, academic leadership, and advocacy.

Richard M. Rosenfeld, MD, MPH, MBA has a diverse education background. Richard M. earned their Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with Magna Cum Laude honors from Hamilton College in 1980. Richard M. then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with Honors at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo from 1980 to 1984. Dr. Rosenfeld completed their Residency Training in Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from 1984 to 1989.

In 1989, they furthered their studies by obtaining a Masters of Public Health degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health. During this same time, they also completed Fellowship Training in Pediatric Otolaryngology and NIH Research at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Rosenfeld continued their education in 2016 and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Health Services Administration from the State University of New York at Oswego in 2018. In 2020, they obtained the prestigious title of Diplomate in Lifestyle Medicine from the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine, showcasing their commitment to promoting health through lifestyle interventions.
