Brooke H. is a seasoned psychometrician with extensive experience in the field of education and assessment. Currently employed at the American Board of Radiology since July 2022, Brooke previously held significant roles at the National Board of Examiners in Optometry®, including Director of Psychometrics and Research and Associate Director of Psychometrics and Research from May 2019 to June 2022. Prior to this, Brooke served as a Research Scientist at Duke University and held academic positions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, including Research Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Research Associate. Brooke's career began in education as a teacher in the Wake County Public School System and Rockingham County Schools. Brooke earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Policy, Leadership, & School Improvement from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Education in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Averett University.

The ABR is an independent, not-for-profit organization and is one of 24 national medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). We were founded to protect the public by assessing and certifying doctors who meet specific educational, training, and professional requirements. We are accountable both to the public and to the medical profession.
