Roy Thomas

Roy Thomas has extensive experience in the marine engineering field, currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer in Government Engineering Services and Americas Engineering at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) since September 2003. Responsibilities include serving as the engineering liaison, managing multi-disciplinary teams, overseeing engineering policy decisions, and reviewing engineering processes. Previous roles at ABS involved managing various engineering groups, conducting design reviews, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Prior to ABS, Roy Thomas worked as a Marine Engineer for Wallem Shipmanagement and Great Eastern Shipping, where responsibilities included engine room operations and the maintenance of machinery on crude oil and product tankers.
