Heather L. Tierney

Heather L. Tierney is a seasoned professional in the field of publication ethics, currently serving as the Manager of Publication Ethics at the American Chemical Society since November 2010. With a background in chemistry, Heather manages strategic development and editorial production for several scientific journals, including Accounts of Chemical Research and Chemical Reviews, and addresses ethics concerns within the ACS Publications portfolio. Prior to this role, Heather held various positions at Tufts University, contributing to surface chemistry research and teaching as a guest lecturer, while also supporting laboratory operations and maintenance. Heather earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Tufts University and a B.A. in Chemistry from Assumption University.
