Ashequl Islam, MD, MPH, FACC, FSCAI, currently serves as a Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School - Baystate and holds multiple leadership roles at Baystate Health, including Associate Chief of the Division of Cardiology and Director of Strategic Development and Growth for the Heart and Vascular Program. Since 2003, Ashequl Islam has also been a Program Director for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship and an Interventional Cardiologist at Baystate Medical Center. In addition to these positions, Ashequl Islam is the President of the New England Valve and Structural Heart Foundation, focusing on education in valvular and structural heart disease. Ashequl Islam's professional affiliations include being a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
